@Light ugh, you're right.. it almost makes me want to wait but there is no way that will happen.

New tracks can be heard on spotify by using a VPN to live in New Zealand/Australia for a bit.
Twisted Tongues is fantastic. It reminds me a lot of Circa Survive, particularly their more recent albums. It definitely feels like a continuation of the sound that they explored on The Missing Man. Escape From Los Angeles is way different but it grew on me pretty hard after a few listens. It's very catchy but in a sort of chill way. Hard to describe.

Circa Survive you say.. hmmmmmm. I'm intrigued
|
| |
Might just be me but it reminds me a lot of Circa's past couple of record. The drums (which are absolutely sick by the way), the atmospheric and reverb-soaked guitars, even some of the vocal delivery. Like a mix of stuff found on Violent Waves and The Amulet, with a healthy dose of AFI of course.

Twisted Tongues is instrumentally amazing. Davey sounsd amazing in the verse and the chorus is definitely good. Song feels like some harsher vox would have made it perfect
and we weirdly get some harsher Pink Eyes sounding vox in perhaps the poppiest sounding song they've written in years on Escape From LA. legitimately catchy as fuck. the vocals, the atmosphere, it's all perfect. sounds like a better Summer's Out Of Sight on Blaqk Audio's Only Things We Love and that was easily a top 3 track there.

i'd argue the Twisted Tongues verse is one of the best things they've ever done

YES. They're finally trying something new. I'm glad this ep was a sign of the direction they're going in. That chorus for twisted tongues hits hard.

ending was good/will be REALLY fun live but I wish they went a biiit bigger with it if anything. that's the only 2 chorus, big ending AFI song i can think of.
EDIT: The Despair Factor duhhhhhhhhhhh
EDIT2: Death of Seasons, why am I dumb
