the last song rules, the other 3 slow songs do not

hoping they'll eventually grow on me though

As a counter point to the this is boring people
this is one of the most entertaining releases of the year tbh

This wound up being one of my favorites this year. Aside from the first part of A World of Joy, the slower songs were a high point for me. I Am Healed, Isolation, and Broken absolutely bang.

Been jamming this more lately, slow songs still haven't grown on me much like I hoped. I either skip or it becomes 10 minutes of background music until the good shit starts up again

this has grown on me quite a bit, especially the slower tunes. i feel like if dude could just expand his range a tad they'll get even better. i'm sure he is capable.

out of context of the record I guess, but within the record that's where ppl took issues. had it been another band performing those songs on something else, who knows what the welcome would be

"slow songs rule haters" valid for the 2 last ones

"had it been another band performing those songs on something else, who knows what the welcome would be" valid for the 2 slow songs from the middle

Digging: Tropical Fuck Storm - Braindrops

yea the only one that is just ok is world of joy, but the ending of that is great. but yea like i said once he expands his range i'm interested to see what they can do with that sound.

Just found out the guitarrist builds his own guitars. Pretty cool.

Yeah that is pretty cool

i still miss Gaza.

Does anyone know what the deal was with the vocalist? Did he contribute to songwriting at all? It’s honestly baffling how great Gaza was and how ... not great Cult Leader is.

they would’ve gone the same direction dude, just minus the nick cave crooning. the vocalist was the bassist to gaza so bet he was involved in the songwriting
