"It's whatever, the Grammys have been a joke for ages. They've sucked before I was even alive; see Jethro Tull beating Metallica in 1989 for the hard rock/heavy metal trophy for reference."
Not just Metallica, but they also beat Jane's Addiction too for Nothing's Shocking. That's double failure right there... and it wouldn't be so bad if that was even one of the better Jethro Tull albums, but it's easily one of the duller records in their discog

Music is taste, but I think we can all agree that some people's tastes are further developed than others. Year after year I hope the committees of these shitshow's (grammy's, oscars, you name it) have finally included more people with taste, and every year I'm let down.

The only joke here is the amount of 1-1.5 ratings. The music's nowhere near as bad as you guys are making out. So what if they sound like Zeppelin? It's called influence. Hell, even imitation isn't a bad thing if it's born out of respect. You don't see OSDM revival bands getting shit on due to paying homage to their favourites in their music, and not furthering the genre of death metal itself.
Making claims like "this is a thinly veiled attempt for a bunch of young dudes trying to profit off of Soccer Dads who want to be reminded of Zeppelin is straight up whack and dumb, and
whoever said that should get tested for Downs syndrome tbh.
For context, I'm no fanboy of this band. I heard like 2 songs and thought they were pretty cool. Nowhere near a 1.

Every song I've heard is a boring jam in two or three chords, and the singer tries to spice things up by yodeling or someshit. It's just not fun, exciting, or even interesting.

Fuck this band. Sick of talentless chuds cobbling together some vague, surface-level approximation of an actually good band's sound and actually being able to make a career out of it. Same as every bland generic indie band trying to be Mac Demarco, just with a slightly different target audience.

realistically, this isn't as bad as most people here act like and it isn't as good as mainstream audiences think. it's derivative as fuck, but the kids are talented

talented is a strong word though

I dont care what anyone says about this band, Highway Tune is one of the best songs ever and Safari Song is an absolute jam.

"talented is a strong word though"
Aping Led Zeppelin that well without actually covering them is a talent in and of itself, but that aside the instrumentalists are tight and the singer can hit the notes. Their talent is not as much in question as the use of said talent to imitate another band.

It's sad that this band is getting a shit ton of promotion by being unoriginal.
