I don't know shit about drums, the drumming sounded complex and IMHO is kinda buried down in the mix, that bothers me a little...

the album is pretty ok, i just dont get any feeling from it though. And they miss the the ball on a lot of the djent sections when they bring in a melodic element to them.

I am really surprised how good this is.

Was not expecting this round blend.

The only problem might be some transitions at some points that are not idealy arranged or not perfectly produced. But overall great album

Definitly a 4.5

Hope they keep their potential and style

Vertigo is beautiful. I'm liking the prettier atmospheric moments & the vox are impressive. The heavier 'djenty' bits I could still do without, maybe their purpose will become more apparent eventually.

It really did work to their benefit to phase out the more djent-centric song structuring from Inmazes. This has much more variety to it and the atmosphere is very captivating. So damn pretty

The singles I heard felt like they were small parts of a much greater whole. I'm certain I won't get the full picture just from those although they were very interesting. This review has me extremely curious.

Surprisingly I get heavy Anberlin vibes from thus record. Mainly from Vital and Lowborn but in the vocals and melodies it's really apparent to me. The cover art even resembles Vital.

That solo in Ruby Pool sounds so much like Gilmour Division Bell shit.

I'm just glad I listened to this album before seeing the video for Ghosts, which has a faint whiff of the notorious Attack Attack! -Stick Stickly about it with the little jumps etc.

Had never heard of these guys, but the album is becoming firmly lodged in my brain.

Glad they changed their sound, inmazes was too samey for my tastes.

That's cos this is, to me, the breakout hit of 2018. This is the best album I've heard this year for sure. Even above Night Verses.
