You make it sound like there were limits or rules as to what qualifies as an album cover or album art. Because it wasn't drawn bad. It visually looks competent.

Too bloated. Not a real big fan overall, it's ok nonetheless

If nothing else this album shows that Claudio can still craft some insidious earworms. I listened to Toys once three days ago and and the chorus into the solo pops into my head every couple hours now.

I hadn't kept up with Coheed since Year of the Black Rainbow but one of my friends showed me "Unheavenly Creatures," "Toys," and "Number City" last night and I quite liked them. Discog jamming Coheed today and tomorrow to finally get myself caught up to speed

I just came here to refresh my memory of public opinion and then maybe find out myself this weekend. I remember being severely disappointed but liking bits and pieces of some songs. It's too long and has too many forgettable choruses and cheesy lyrics.

The Gutter is easily one of coheed’s best choruses - reminiscent of Juggernaut for me feeling wise

Confirmed: I'm still just as disappointed lol. Though it's not as un-salvageable to me as The Color Before the Sun.

Worst CoCa records:

-The Color Before the Sun

-The Unheavenly Creatures

-Year of the Black Rainbow

Second-worst I'd say.

Doesn't help that when I caught them live just after this came out, my very first time seeing them after 10+ years of listening, while they played well, they seemed downright bored.

Said it before and I'll say it again – first four albums + Afterman: Ascension is all you need.

We had a new Prize Fighter Inferno album recently that I know of. Any word on Unheavenly Creatures II yet?
