inthox, it's better than YOTBR but I'd still put NWFT above it. Ascension is their best album since GA:I IMO. I didn't like Descension and TCBTS.

This is more upbeat and catchy than NWFT for the most part.

Man I really hope they take some of the themes from this album and use them in later chapters. Like, when Creature and Spider inevitably die, using the theme from "Lucky Stars" would be so great.

What the hell is the story for this one? Also, can we get a bit of love for Old Flames going - that song is so sweet and utterly melts me

I'll do a write up for the story in a little bit. If you watch the gutter visualizer video you can get a basic premise but it seems to me that there are three characters, Creature, Spider, and Colossus caught in a love triangle. They rob a bank, Spider gets killed by Colossus, and then he and Creature are sent to a prison planet. Creature is trying to escape, Colossus seems to be brainwashed or turned into some crazy bad guy. Creature finds out Spider isn't dead but transformed into the Queen of the Dark, and goes to try to save her before he leaves the planet.

to help their future son, Vaxis, assume a place as the father of a new universe in the later chapters..

I really wish I could get into this as much as you guys are

It's a big improvement over Descension but I'm still not being hooked by quite enough moments.

It's like a mix between GA1/2, Afterman and TCBTS. Needs more Travis' noodley guitar parts though.
