I think the others Horrendous are more immediate and more oldshool DM approached...the melodic singing on here are somewhat more unique and rare in the genre. But yeah I want to listen to their 3 albums more profoundly so I can say this more confidently...I really like the 3 albums.

I like that these guys have ascending averages, even if I may actually like Anareta more. I should check their earlier 'old school' sound out too, don't mind a bit of OSDM.

this was quite nice but I don't see myself revisiting it again soon

I didn't truly get this until 3 or 4 listens in, just saw it as 'potentially good'. I'd say that "quite nice" is a decent start, but of course you know your own taste.

"I didn't truly get this until 3 or 4 listens in" true...my first obstacle was how low the vol was lol

ahah indeed...but in my case I took my time getting the full dynamics on this...took my time getting if this was bad production, or lo-fi or whatever...now I love it (in the right vol)

Depends, maybe he has a severe case of audiocrankaphobia. Don't mock the man.

LMAO or maybe I'm just deaf!
considering I'm on Imperial Triumphant now (yeah I am "WTF is this?") my vol is almost up to max. You guys may want to check...

I have encountered albums on Spotify where I need to crank it right up to the max... there's also a setting which raises the sound level but at the expense of dynamics, which I've resorted to a couple of times as well. Conclusion: my hearing isn't the best either.

@demon: shit how could I be so inconsiderate. I truly feel ashamed 😢

Spotify has a built in normalizer, but if you love music you turn that shit off.
inb4: if you love music you don't stream it

Imperial Triumphant is simply the scariest and "avant-gardish" album of 2018 to say the least

I was born on the day of the Chernobyl accident, so that would be pretty poetic
edit: well, two days after but I was aiming for dramatic effect not historical fact 😏

"I was born on the day of the Chernobyl accident, so that would be pretty poetic"
oh 86...ok, would be really poetic but I don't wish for it X)...I'm finding hard not to 4.5 straight away only for the experience itself (and brilliance yeah)

it's sounding pretty epic right away. love those horns in the intro, awesome composition. sounds exactly like something I will enjoy right off the bat.
can't wait for the new Ad Nauseam myself. this reminds me a little of them.
