Yeah, this has grown off me considerably :/

I don't really rate anymore since I don't care about music that much anymore like I used to. If I were to rate this it would be a 2.5.

Agreed tbh, Marrow is better in spots too...

Marrow's songwriting overall is better than this.

It's going to take a complete overall of their current production style and a monster Budokan to get me to like this album.

I remember you telling us about the London show experience, should've been reimbursed in full for that disaster.

Between that, the horrid fans, this album and changing their producers they're stuck as my 2nd fav band rather than 1st. Sukekiyo are recording at this moment in time so I'm expecting them to pick up the slack.

I won't be reimbursed for the VIP since I technically got what was advertised but it was kinda shit, the show itself I could get a refund but I felt bad for the security so I'd rather not complain and give them a payday. At least I got an amazing shirt and poster out of it.

@DrGonzo It's not quite present day In Flames v The Jester Race (at least the vocals aren't risible), but it's pretty comparable to present day Metallica v Master of Puppets.



It's a pretty common story. Time will tell if the new Tool album avoids this fate.

Tbh, I’m fairly confident tool will deliver. A) they’ve had enough time to make the damn thing; and b) they aren’t really in the same position deg are in. IMO at least

How would you say Tool's position differs from DEG? Are you referring to the fact DEG had to rush this album out quickly because of bad management?



I honestly have no idea what the Tool album will be like. I'm pretty sure it will be better than this, but whether it will measure up to 10,000 Days I don't know.

This record is really a Saint Anger-level disaster.

It's dissapointing, but nowhere near St. Anger. There are still some good sounding arrangements on here, even though the production gives me a headache when listening.
