Now quickly erase that comment before someone sees it and starts challenging me

Really bizarre production on here. It's strange they intentionally chose this sound. It sounds muddy.

Whenever Melon says Interpol have never changed their sound baffles me. Does he really thinks TOTBL and this sound anything alike ? Or Our Love To Admire sounds anything like El Pintor ?
I'd say they've changed their sound one way or another a lot throughout the years.

I have to say that, at first, I was put off by the seemingly messy production, the lack of booming choruses as well as of the typical Interpol 'huge' sound. But despite that, this album has grown on me incredibly, and still keeps growing with each listen, there is something about the flow of the songs, about the slow and graceful build-up where the instruments just keep adding on each other, the jumpy basslines, the iconically precise drumwork, that makes me want to relisten to the album time and time again. It's different, sure, maybe seemingly simpler/less grandiose at times but I think they managed to pull it off so well that it works

Stay In Touch has a nice intro riff but the song doesn't go anywhere, unfortunately.
