You're gonna feel like an idiot when all the pre-teen rap fetishists flood the site and make this #1. I still don't get it though, what exactly is wrong with the review except that it's not offering a new viewpoint?
Imagine if you reviewed The Matrix 5 years after it was released and all you could talk about was how cool and innovative the special effects were. Okay they were cool, I know that without even needing to see the movie. I wouldn't know anything more about The Matrix, thus making it a bad review.

this i not a bad review. I've seen and done worse. It does seem like the kind of album which must suck a little bit but i never heard it. Some one should review saul williams for this site.

Oh yes... I hate, just hate Ja Rule. Actually, I hate everyone who has ever had a shadow of a disagreement with Eminem, and he qualifies.

" Romeo should have just focused on acting from the beginning, because his career as a musical artist "
As an actor I'm offended, haha.
It's an all right review. I don't really like the album selection. The album is obviously going to be bad. However most of the time when I come in here I'm looking for new music, so I find most negative reviews to be a waste of time, I suppose we need some of these around here.

This isnt anything like a 'bad' review, I read it all the way through, and it wasn't a track by track discribing things as ''awesome''. This was entertaining, and would it have been ok if he wrote it in a more positivve way and gave it a 4?

Nobody who has reviewed anything in this genre has said anything substantial or anything I couldn't figure out by reading the rapper's name.
I point towards my 50 Cent review as a rebuttal to this point.
|
| |
Dude Liberi, just because you're smarter and a better writer than anybody else who has contributed to that genre doesn't mean you said anything I didn't already know. I'm not even just saying this to prove my point. Everything you said about 50 can be understood by listening to the first verse of "In Da Club." No joke.

After listening to In Da Club I wouldn't be expecting anything other than trash, yet there are some little beauts on the album.
The primary audience on this site would have heard nothing outside the singles, I enlightened them by showing there are quality songs on the album.

I have listened to the album many many times via having a brother with the album who forces me to listen to it in the car. I can honestly say that there's nothing on the album that gets any better than the background on "P.I.M.P." And I knew that already. You didn't tell me anything substantial or interesting or new. Sorry.

Once again. I guess I never really got in the zone.

Well that is your opinion, personally I can find plenty to like in the production quality, the rapping duet in Patiently Waiting, the meaty synths in Poor Lil' Rich, the intro of Blood Hound etc. Just because you can't find much to like doesn't mean it does not offer anything new to the board. I described qualities of the album that the mainstream audience on sputnik would typically not acknowledge.
If your view is that it doesn't bring anything new to the table, and as such, isn't a great review, then I point our your Daft Punk review. It really doesn't raise anything substantial. Everything you said about Daft Punk can be understood by listening to the first 30 seconds of One More Time. No joke.

Except for the fact that there are no sweet vocoder tricks on that song.

Yeah there are.

What do moderaters do?

Moderate.
Seriously though, they delete comments, ban users, edit forums and make sputnik safe for you and me.
And at the risk of this comment being deleted, Romeo > Master P
