But they have so many other albums to put on and rock out to that aren't epics like Feedbacker or Flood. Not that this isn't a fantastic album or anything.

True, lol I guess I could have phrased what i said better. All I was saying is this is my favourite of their more stoner rock/ sludgy-rock albums. I also love their other stuff like Heavy Rocks, Pink, Noise, etc, but this one just hits differently. I've listened to nearly every Boris album, but theres just something about their early period that's so flawless

I think a lot of the appeal of certain sludgey stoner metal is the "how can we make bog standard pentatonic riffs the most visceral musical experience ever" attitude. t/t is one of the all time great metal bangers and yeah, not a single original idea in the thing, just a love for rock and roll in the purest sense

There's definitely some songs on Smile that rock out like much of this one does but in general this is peak of Boris taking more typical rock riffs and completely fucking them hard.
