nah he's really not that depressed. I agree with chan's blurb for the album that it's often tongue-in-cheek

Still dont know where the Menzingers comparison is coming from, Menzingers have that Americana thing going on, these guys dont. And the guitar leads can be quite different. And lyrically theyre pretty different as well. These guys have keys, Menzingers do not, etc.

Wuuuut how do you not hear the Menzingers worship? They’re both existential adult punk/pop-punk and he sings verrrrry similar to Greg. Listen to The Obituaries then any song from this album.

"They’re both existential adult punk/pop-punk"
I dont find this to be that adult, he seems like a bit of manchild to me. And i dont think his voice is all that similar to Greg's. In spots he sounds similar but not overall.

Losers made me really excited for their next album. First album is definitely really good, but Losers blew me the fuck away in a way their other stuff hasn’t.

I'll still check their next album, but they gotta step up their lyric game. I don't want to feel like a 19 year old listening to it.

No offense to 19 year olds out there, that's just not me anymore lol

Am I the only person who didn't get that from the lyrics at all? I don't think you can write half of this and sound convincing unless you're already in your late 20s or 30s and have gone through plenty of shit. There might be a few questionable lines, but overall I think it's a lot deeper than virtually anything else I've heard in the genre recently.
