The End of Love is astoundingly good, those harmonies are pure magic. I suspect this will grow on me but I don't see a 5 in my future

the second half of 100 Years is one of the most badass things she's ever written

I love the lyrics and the overall themes, best she's done. But I'm not in love, I've listened to it a handful of times and it's still not sticking. This doesn't have the big, thumping, energetic sounds I associate with Florence. It's very personal, and feels enclosed. If everything on this album sounded like 100 Years, I'd give it a 5 easy.

Man the part in June where she sings "you're so high you had to be an angel" gives me chills for some reason.

I know, it seems ridiculous. But in reality I 5 about 3-4 things a year which is more than the average user but also not outlandish. I can't imagine this album doing anything at all to be better than what it is, it deserves that 100/100 on metacritic.

So? Also isn't Universal technically Republic or something now?

It was a joke that you work for universal.. if you actually do then cool. I think universal is still universal. They absorbed part of emi in 2012 but yeh. Think its still just UMG

No idea. Wish I worked for Universal, then I'd get a salary for this!

There are def positions in the big 3 that involve online promotion via free media (as opposed to financial investment in promotion through advertising). Idk how they work but they do exist.

Always liked her (though no huge fan), and Sowing's rating and review got my attention. Sometimes we disagree on pop but we both aren't afraid to give pop great ratings.

Maybe I try this album some day. "How Big..." was a great album for me, almost all songs enjoyable. "Ceremonials" is also very strong sometimes. One of very few of today's pop artists/bands I like.
I looked at the tracklist of the new album and I saw the songs are shorter than on the other two albums I have.

Definitely give it a try. I think it's her best album yet, and I say that having absolutely loved Ceremonials.

Wow Pitchfork is so hilariously out of touch. Awful review and score they gave this.

I dunno. I'm not huge on p4k but I can totally see their side of the story.
