I'm kind of all about this wacky and oddly affecting performance of Donnie Darko that was just posted. The album is very very decent, but I think this act gains a lot more charm live which it doesn't quite maintain on the record.

lol ok for real though, sonically speaking when I first skimmed through this I thought I might end up liking it a fair bit so I tossed it into my work playlist but the vocals in general and chorus's in particular kind of make me cringe away from the catchy synth hooks

But after you get that out of the way things improve significantly
Snakes & Ladders, Cool & Collected, and Donnie Darko are the holy trinity though, without them this is a 3.0 kinda album

Donnie Darko is a dark horse soty... I forget about it often but whenever it closes this record I'm like "woah"

Yeah it's amazing. I flip-flop between that, C&C, or S&L ass the bets off this album. I'm going to be working on my Top Songs of 2018' list soon and it will most likely contain Donnie or one of those.
