You sound foolish bruh X is in many conversations. I’ve had ones irl, on youtube, on instagram, on here even. I can’t believe anyone couldn’t think he’s worthy with his first three albums alone. If you don’t dig the sound then that’s fine and idk how your friends could be heads and not think X is one of the greats. Maybe yall just dont like more gangster or street shit. The way he can grip you and hit you emotionally is largely unparalleled. His vocabulary isn’t very wide but the amount of variety in his songs from the bangers, the street stories, the emotional stories, the spiritual stories are enough to make up for it.
It just baffles me that anyone could call themself a hip hop head and not have the respect for X like that

It’s not nutty considering his sales and consistent acclaim in the late 90s. You can’t sell that many records purely through having a hit since most of his music wasn’t very commercial sounding or radio ready

I think he could have been a GOAT if he had continued in his 98 style. Unfortunately, his albums were pretty lackluster after 98 besides some songs here and there. He needed more dark production like the beats on IDAHIH.

The first 3 are all superb. Great Depression has a bunch of good songs... especially A Minute For Your Son.
I think all his albums up to and including Year of the Dog are good but the first three are hard for anybody to stand up to
