Thanks for call my attention for this album. You was right the album is great. Not as good as some others albums of Yes, but it is still great. A true forgotten album of Yes. Nice review. Have a pos.

Be my guest. It's always a pleasure to spread reviews about unknown albums here on Sputnik. I'm glad you liked it too.

Thanks and cheers.

Chris Squire is missing here, both for his deep bass playing and his vocal harmonies with Anderson. Jeff Berlin was only a little bit familiar with the material, and his speciality is jazz fusion, and it shows in his mannear to throw repetitive tight and sometimes fast but subtle jazzy bass patterns that somehow take the back seat into a Yes context. We're so used to evasive and powerful playing of Squire, and the man knows so much how to prog. Bruford distributes cool beats, but his electronic kit is often irritating. Rick Wakeman, Steve Howe and Jon Anderson are fantastic and are fully into Yes spirit. I'd like to give it a 4, but my score is 3,7 rounded to a 3,5.

I agree with you Jethro. As I mentioned on my review about their studio album, the absence of Squire is very felt. Squire was an awesome bass player, perhaps my favourite ever. And as I've mentioned also on a comment of the same review, I don't like particularly of electronic drumming. But those were the times of those things. But, as you said, the performance of Anderson, Howe and Wakeman is great, particularly the performance of Anderson and Howe. The interplay between Anderson and the public is awesome and quality of Howe's guitar technic is incredible too.

But, I can't give to this album a 3.5. As I've mentioned on a comment about their studio album, I hesitated between a 3.0 or a 3.5 on that album. I decided by a 3.5 because it has some great tracks really. But since I consider this live album better than that studio album, I can't give the same rating to both albums. Still, 3.5 is a good, and perhaps a fair rating, but not for me.
