it's quickly shaping up to be a favourite of mine. the riffs are brutal but the truly amazing part is how damn intricate they are. so many harmonic variations between 4ths 5ths and other harmonic elements. very complex song patterns as well with riffs appearing in odd successions and with slight modifications and extra licks thrown in where you wouldn't expect them. for being an album with a very traditional death metal sound and songwriting this is above and beyond most older death metal albums I've listened to.

This is possibly the most underrated Death Metal masterpiece ever created. Thankfully it is revered and highly praised by true fans of the genre but the fact remains that it was unfairly swept aside by Roadrunner records and never given the proper support it truly deserved, I mean seriously they even dropped the band from the label after this! Could you imagine what it would do to your self confidence if you slaved and labored away at creating a magnificent album like this and to reward you and let you know what they thought of it your label f****n drops you! Kudos to Luc Lemay for not only forging on after releasing this and then being deserted by both his record label and his band mates but still being able to craft even yet another masterpiece right after. Gorguts are true pioneers!

1:50 - 2:02 of "With Their Flesh, He'll Create" is just DM perfection \m/ The whole song (and album) is killer, but that section is just sinister as fuck.
