Best that I could find:

Well, we love doing covers and I really love the southern gothic, kinda gospel Wayfaring Stranger that we got a chance to do, the song’s been floating around between Dobber and I for a while and it’s amazing; it captures that truly southern vibe that’s so prominent around the country here and is really eerie at the same time; it’s exciting to know that it would work and finish the album so well.

I also don't think it's the same song that Johnny Cash covered back in the day either.

and from AMG:

a beautiful rendition of the 19th century folk song “Wayfaring Stranger”1 wraps up the album in perfect fashion.

This is one of the most interesting modern metal bands. Not in a place that I want to check this one now but great review Robert.

This is a good atmospheric metal album, but it needed more weighted judgements in certain sectors.

I haven't heard the previous album yet, but with all available analogies accounted for, The Banished Heart reminds me of the 2nd The Devil's Blood album which was more atmospheric and all over the place, as opposed to its predecessor.

This was the only album I've heard from this band and it doesn't make me wanna check the others tbh.

Two tracks into their previous album, and they sound substantially more cohesive than anything from the new one, in spite of the fact that again, Gilbert refrains from rising above the raging arrangements.

Just found out this is one of the opening bands for Insomnium (seeing them in a week). Not what I'd expect in the same tour.

Yeah different strokes. I wouldn’t mind seeing them though

Caught these guys live last week opening up for Insomnium. Pretty good live set, overall. I liked some of their music, and some of it I did not, but the closing tune was pretty powerful live. Lead singer had tears flowing while she sang it. Audience seemed pretty blown away by the performance.

I saw them as one of the openers for the 1000th Epica show. Honestly I rarely really listen to metal (I'm more into emo/post-hardcore) but this is probably my favourite release from 2018 so far. It's at least my most listened to one. Kinda surprised the rating isn't that high?
