I saw them tour for this album and it's mind blowing how good halford is. Your whole body shakes when he hits those high notes.

Saw them in Connecticut for this tour as well and I had tears in my eyes when Glenn came out to play the last few songs with the band. One of the best shows I've been to

love that bluesy bullshit in Devil in Disguise, reminds me of trashy-era metallica

ratings are holding for the new one, 3.9 here and 3.79 on RYM. would be suprised if they remain as high as Firepower though. it's consistently good but I don't hear any killer tracks like Firepower, Rising from Ruins, or Traitor's Gate.

bruh half of the tracks are as killer as those on the new one

my point was that the new one isn't killer, so I'm not sure what you mean
which isn't to say it's bad, but...idk maybe it'll grow on me

My stepdad just sent me the new album on CD 🥰 havent been able to afford physical media lately so its really sweet
Agreed it might not be on the same level, but the highlights here are pretty great and I love the ridiculous mix of influences here, its almost as theatrical as nostradamus at some points which rules

This is way more memorable than Invincible Shield lol. The new one just blends in together after a few songs. The choruses are uninspired as hell and it just peters out after the halfway mark. Tries way too hard to be Painkiller 2. Firepower actually makes me want to listen to it again, it sounds like its own thing. There’s nothing that beats Lightning Strike or Traitor’s Gate on « Shield », sorry.

Haven't listened to Invincible Shield yet but i plan to.
Saw them live a few days ago...Halford still rules man. I was very impressed.
Incredible singing considering his age tbh.
