It doesn't really recover until the closer, which is as cheesy as everything else here but is at least musically somewhat varied.
I want to like this more, because Buddy is getting really vulnerable at parts, but man, those lyrics are just cringey. It wouldn't kill him to vary the pacing a little more. I'm not saying I don't listen to a lot of cheesy pop-punk, but something about Buddy's lyrics really rubs me the wrong way.

Glad to see this is being received so well, though I certainly understand not liking it. I felt it was pretty bland at first, but (clearly) my mind has changed. I think this is an album that needs multiple listens for it to click, but when it does it hits like a ton of bricks.
