Two tracks in and I wasn't feeling this, then Bitter Red happened and I guess I gotta stick around for the whole thing. Loved Lack Long After, never bothered much with Keep You.

I guess I'm really failing to perceive the "intense" drumming and emotional punch. Feels like every song blends into the other in terms of delivery with only a few stand-outs. Respect for the new approach, but it sucked the power out of their sound. Songs can be good, but they don't move beyond that. Some simply seem to exist and don't provide much else.

Tried so hard to get into this thing but I can't stand it. The production feels sterile, the dude's vocals are flat, and I don't find the songwriting interesting. Loved Lack Long After, thought Keep you was decent, but this, so far, is doing nothing for me. Might have to try again in a few months.

This is a grower just like Keep You was I'm sure. I have a feeling I'll end up rating this high as well, it definitely all bleeds together thus far but with a ton of consistency. Honestly thats a big part of the appeal that kept me coming back to Keep You

Jams.

Fake Lighting and Bitter Red grew to be my favorites so far, but the whole thing is just stunning. Bloody Sweet also deserves a shoutout

First impression: This is decent, but I'm definitely not getting AOTY vibes off of this. There are some pretty textures and good moments but it's awfully homogeneous and doesn't have a lot of dynamics.

the apparent lack of screams on this is kinda worrying since the best moments off keep you came from the restraint and then the release of the vocals. ill check that one out tho.

I think the emotional moments here arent as strong as on keep you, this is just a notch below it imo

Remember when they had real emotional moments back in 2011. Those were the times

I had the same feelings after my first listen. The past 3 albums have pulled so heavy on the heartstrings due to the lyrical content and vocal delivery. Curious to read the lyrics on this, but as far as I can tell this album seems much less focused on coming to terms with death

Also Blue is probably their second best closer next to I'll Get By.
