Relistened to this recently because I've never really gotten into these guys, and still I love the songwriting but my god coyne cannot sing.

Imagining this album with a "better" vocalist physically hurts me

His voice compliments the music quite well admittedly but it's not very good singing

I forget which is which but the version of "race for the prize" that currently opens the album as it stands on spotify is way less good than the other one. I think the latter is the mokran

Correct, the one at the end of the album is the Mokran mix, and it is indeed better than the opener. Though the disparity between those is much smaller than the differences between the two Buggins, which is such that they may as well be two different songs altogether.

If I'm remembering correctly which is which I like the original version of Race for the Prize more, but both have their strengths and it's a phenomenal song either way

God I wish this album's actual tracklist wasn't spread across like 3 different editions

I think Mokran mix is way better. The lo-fi crunch of the other version weighs the song down and prevents it from soaring in the same way

This takes me back, could do with a revisit.

Anyone heard their collaboration with Lightning Bolt? I’ll be diving in at some point.

They get a lifetime pass for their annoying bullshit because of this album. It will never get old.
