Thought i'd rate Into the Fire higher than that, your review was excellent and completely on spot.

yeah not gonna lie Alone in a Room and Into the Fire are pretty catchy tunes, I dig em. shame the rest of the album is a bore.

I'd add Hopelessly Hopeful, Rise Up, Under Denver, Vultures, and Eve to that list, but agreed @Toon

Eve is so fucking bad it's unbelievable. The chorus annoys me so much. Rise up is completely ruined by the production, it would be better if the mix on that track was more ' metal ', because all the energy is just sucked out of a track like that with the mix on this record. It kinda works for Alone in a Room and Into the Fire, but the core tracks just feel so lifeless...

Into the Fire is an amazing pop-rock song

I kind of hate that I agree with Toon here, because it's the lead single.
If your lead single is your best song, you done fucked up.

eh, not really, as long as the whole album is consistent enough

It's just such a poseur/normie thing to put the lead single on top without thinking too hard about it. There's a reason I'll never say "Welcome to the Black Parade" is the best song on The Black Parade, for example. It's just too much of a normie thing to say, and it reminds me way too much of all those cringy 13-year-old girls screaming "RAWR A G NOTE I NEED MY EYELINER". Maybe I'm turning into a cranky old get-off-my-lawn music listener, but that shit annoys me.

uhhhhhhhhh that literally makes no sense
it's an opinion, if people think that the lead single is the best song off the album then they think that it's the best song off the album. if the only reason why you say otherwise because it's the popular opinion that it is then why are you listening to music anyways?

It just reminds me way too much of those cringy casuals that say they're a hardcore fan but all they know is the big hit. Like sorry, you're not the biggest Bullet for My Valentine fan if all you know is "Your Betrayal" or "Tears Don't Fall". Lol

And nah I normally don't think big hits are the best songs anyway, it's just accented by all the cringe surrounding those hits. Plus someone has to talk about the deep cuts at length anyway.

Not sure how I feel about this record. It's kinda mediocre but there's just enough good hooks here to be passable
