yeah the cleans on this album are pretty bad lol but theyre also just generally not lukas's strong suit (nor this band's strong suit from a song structure perspective either). all the best songs on the last album are the ones with no singing

lukas's screams are so much better now than they are on matriarch. if he were to re record those now id probably bump it up but his harsh performance is a little weak by his (and brandons) standards there. his melodies are def better there than they are here tho

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing they couldn't use a lot of their original material written for [m]other because of some legal (or maybe band drama) crap. Curious what that original vision would have sounded like.
