Parts of Medulla and Drawing Restraint 9 are more unconventional than anything on this tbh

biophilia has that crystaline breakdown, does that count as unconventional?

I'm sure it does, but Hollow and Dark Matter are the two strangest tracks on that one.

I wish I had the drugs. I need to trip to this album at some point.

This wouldn't be my first choice to trip out if I had them.

this is definitely the Bjork album I would choose to trip to. I'm thinking of bumping it up to 5 honestly. I've had some neat times with this album on hikes as well Toad.

Oh hell ya. I gotta hike with this record, thanks for the reminder. Open-backed headphones gonna come in clutch with this one

I rode a bus along the west canadian coast playing Vespertine completely sober and it felt like i was high out of my mind the whole time just overwhelmed by the combined beauty

Vespertine is like the epitomic 'new love' record. I prefer Homogenic because it's just as intense but not as intimate as Vesp which I have to be in a very specific mood for to not get overwhelmed by the naive yet transgressive feels.

Vespertine is her best I've heard (and I've heard her first five so)

Vespertine doesn't have an It's Oh, So Quiet though does it? Speaking of which, I thought she said 'dumb cunts lose' this whole time. I'm mildly disappointed.

I put the last 40 seconds or so on repeat for like an hour. Such a sublime OD of Bjork. Just look at her face, so deep into her career and still hungry, ground-breaking and in perfect form.

I honestly don't know what I would cut. Even the songs I wasn't hot on right away have wormed their way in.
