I'm on my second listen right now and this is cold, evil, but not as kvlt or trve as his past work. This might be the worst Taake, but it still slays

review reads pretty much as we'd expect Taake to sound, which is a good thing. This will be, at the very least, a fun listen.

Yeah after jamming this a third time, this is easily worst Taake. Still better than most BM I've listened to lately but yeah agree with DooRight they are capable of much better.

King Kong Vinter.

Not bad! very old-schoolish while retaining something fresh, I might up this a point with further listens

If Kong literally means King, then is King Kong just King King?

Yes!

Scuro your avatar is amusing to me since I actually met and hungout with Fenriz in a bar here in Sweden about a month back, he showed off his beer belly and was mightily disappointed in me when I told him I wasn't a huge fan of Rush

Oh man that's awesome, he's one dude I'd love to meet at some point, I feel like he'd just be a fun person.

Yeh he was as awesome as you could imagine, reminded me of Dylan Carlson in many ways (whom I've also met), zero ego to these guys. Just super humble, cool people.

@Scream xD

Zippa: He likes a lot of the old school stuff afaik, I think he mentioned John Rutsey

you jam the whole thing? some parts feel like traditional bm but the way he mixes in classic metal and rock makes it a pretty fun listen

honestly it's pretty impressive Hoest did all the instrumentation on this album himself. mixes so many styles and moods without ever feeling awkward
