the drummer is a total beast tbh

its more the production than anything, im used to a more punk/hardcore style from a lot of the more raw stuff heh

yeah fair enough, if you listen to any full album i'd go with the live album from this year, the production on that might tickle your fancy a bit more

imo zaru's scale is normal except if he gives it a 3 or a 2.5 in which case you just add 1.5 to 2 points and it will be correct without fail

Best album of 2016

Good review, haven't heard this one yet (actually just learned that it came out from your review).

The band would definitely wince at being identified as Canadians so many times, though... this whole Lower Canada Rebellion was conducted by the oppressed French Canadian population so to combat the assimilation tactics of the English leaders, and writing a whole album about it *kinda* hints at deep-rooted Québec separatist ideologies.
