There are things to enjoy on this album for sure, but hearing BOCC showed me she can do better, and on this album she has a tendency to over write. Still a solid album and I hope we get a new solo album by 2020.

I hope it's the wrong word because if it isn't you're claiming to know what the artist thought regarding creative decisions in their head. Unless they specifically stated comments supporting your claim interviews then that falls flat, plus they don't have to experience said emotions for it to be genuine.

If it doesn't feel genuine that's a legitimate complaint whether Bridgers really feels it in her heart.
Honestly though I think the best thing that could possibly happen to her songwriting is if no one ever lets her finger-pick again. Those songs are by far her worst. She's not a good folk songwriter.

I’m very interested to hear her build off her debut. It was definitely very good, but did have amateurish moments and suffered from being overwritten at times. BOCC has helped her a lot already so I want to se what she brings to the table.
