Rather self-explanatory, eh? But anyways, the only album I wouldn't start with is Violent Waves. It's not bad by any means, but it's not quite Circa Survive. Objectively speaking, I got a bit carried away by how much I love this album, so I would recommend to go chronologically.

They've got some proggy stuff in Blue Sky Noise, Descensus and Violent Waves, but yeah; they're mostly good alt rock with a little bit of post hardcore here and there. Also, you could check out a song called Premonition of the Hex (a personal favorite), it's one of their best singles, and it's from this record.
