I have such a weird relationship with this band. Som of their songs I end up finding a little meh. Especially in their earlier stuff. But then I have songs by them I literally hyper fixate on. Like I must have listened to the title track and Flesh And Bone 50 times this month 😂

I'm ngl I like newer Circa more than old, older they where just another post-hardcore band, doesnt do enough to stand out imo, the modern stuff incorporates a lot more alt rock and post rock elements that really elevates their sound

What’s some post-hardcore from around that time that Circa doesn’t stand out from? Like, they’ve always been super distinct to me

Omg I just realized the lyrics of Dark Pools are amazing. I identify them with the autistic experience dealing with close minded people so much. They make me feel seen, even if the song may not be truly about that ☺️

i feel like there's def a break point between BSN and VN and if i had to pick, id take new Circa any day. would love to sneak BSN in if i could but it's just a stronger output overall

Man, I never had a problem with the t/t as the outro but Indra's Net is just even more perfect as being the final track. Absolute banger that's easily as good as the standard edition cuts.
