The crowd reaction was great to Triptych, and yeah the setlist is the same for the shows in 2018, but still was an improvement in terms of length and variety compared to the european 2017 shows. I really liked the new songs too and i even layed my hands on one of the setlists

At this point every single song has affected me at some point since the start of this year so 5-ing it for a real good reason

"This band has a pretty flawless track record."

My thoughts exactly. They could become the next big british rock band

they should be but i get the feeling they will never make it quite to that level of popularity despite being so brilliant - just an inkling i have

Unfortunately, i think you could be right. They are quite a bit more popular in the UK than say in the States or so

For me it's not even close to the greatness of Blood & Chemistry. It's not the matter of heaviness, it just never feels as inspired, free and unpredictable, especially in terms of vocal delivery. It's really simplier. Almost every song here follows the same scenario: build-up or a few -> culmination with riffs and screams -> quiet ambient outro. And the new drummer as for me is really a lot less creative than the previous one. I do like the album though, but it's a one-off ride for me. I admit that despite repetitiveness they are more mature here compositionally, than earlier, and they seriously expanded their sound with synths and other electronics, but it just doesn't work for me.

Well tbh after first 2 or 3 listens I too was rating it around 3.5. It's insane how much it grew into me. I'm even thinking of making it a 5, but left fire and bac are still resonating in me stronger than this.

I suppose somebody could tell me I'm still young and I'm more for energy than melancholy and it will change. And I'd probably agree with them.

I'm getting pretty close to 5ing this. Agree with JS that every song on here is pretty affecting at some point.

This has some massive tracks on it but some of them really don't go anywhere, really miss the heaviness too, felt like they got their balance perfect on heaven and earth

What do we guess, guys? New EP this fall? I don't expect this to be a one-off single, since they teased twice on the last two concerts that something "a little extra might be coming"
