Idk Flug they've had some releases that were hella fun all around, like Helvetios, Origins and Slania. I won't lie-they were always some killer and some filler, but like this has nothing strong going for it at all.

Slania and Spirit are pretty good. Those two albums are the sweet syrup Eluveitie keeps adding more and more water to with every subsequent release.

They're making these softer albums to cash in on the chick schtick, that's my opinion

Review reads like a 1 or 1.5. 2.5 but you've listed not a single positive attribute? In fact, you virtually haven't described the album at all.

The album was average. I do not need to list a positive attribute to make it a 2.5, because a 2.5 literally means "average". 1 is the most abysmal blow me off this planet dogshit album, 1.5 is a sad, sad effort that is upsetting to listen to but not quite the worst, 2 is bad but only sort of off-putting. 2.5 is eh. Didn't feel anything, which is what people don't seem to get. I was left feeling literally nothing, because this album doesn't amount to much of anything.

Really like this now that I've heard it. Not their strongest material but I'me a sucker for this stuff.

Do a little bit of research before the review pal. This was supposed to be a folk album from the beginning, that's why there are very little to no growls. It's the second part of Evocation I so Chrigel not singing is not a surprise or bad utilisation of the asset that he is.

Even then however, I still find Chrigels role off this album surprisingly uninteresting, so I still maintain my point. I don't think I would enjoy the first Evocation to be honest.

I know right? First third of the track is business as usual but still solid and then it just soars, really dig the lead guitar focus too and the hurdy gurdy playing along with them is just uhhhggg.

Caught a Cellar Darling show right before lightning up Beltane's bonfires. Cool experience but the band itself was absolutely inoffensive
