I say every album I love is the best album ever lol. Yeah hands down my AOTY though in a year full of amazing albums.

Average isn't really surprising since there's at least one user here with some 5 different alts who enjoys him/herself bumping down newer underground metal albums
Sometimes he/she hands out a 1, sometimes a 2, sometimes a 1,5...for the same album but it's undeniably the same user

i know i'm being harsh but everything i've ever heard this guy do has either been 'awful' or just 'fine'. that or just sounds like an imitation of the genre he tries to do and nothing more substantial than that. the most telling fact is the fact that from all the bands and project he does there isn't a single common thread between them. he doesn't have anything distinctive about his songwriting style. it makes all his music honestly sound really empty and void of substance. i just cannot get into anything he does.

because to me this is among the better albums he's done, it just sounds 'fine'. it's executed pretty well. nothing really distinctive about it otherwise. i'm on my second spin and stuck between 2.5 and a 3 somewhere, can't decide.

to expand on this album now i'm a couple of listens in (or one and a half to be more exact) it's certainly better than other albums i've heard this guy do. but there isn't really anything jumping out at me to say 'good' or 'great'. it's all just really stock standard for me, i've heard countless other albums like it and i guess i'm just not tapping into the emotional side of it like you guys are.
