anatelier I was on my honeymoon in Canada, I lurked here a little bit from time to time but refrained from posting...or listening to too much new music.
Listened to this about 12 times now within 48 hours and I gotta say I'm really impressed. Even stronger Radiohead influence and another I wasn't expecting - Hot Chip, in quite a big way in places. This also has some Muse/Royal Blood in there which should be a major turn off for me but these lads can get away with nearly anything it seems.
Way I'm feeling it so far:
Night Of The Long Knives = 4.5-5
Can't Do = 4-4.5
Desire = 4-4.5
Big Game = 3.5-4
Good Shot, Good Soldier = 4-4.5
Run the Numbers = 3.5-4
Put Me Together = 4.5-5
A Fever Dream = 4.5-5
Ivory Tower = 4-4.5
New Deep = 4-4.5
White Whale = 3.5-4
Very consistent, top 4 are Put Me Together, title track, Night of the long Knives and Can't Do which I wasn't blown away with listening to it in isolation but as part of this album it's perfect
