First one had a couple of songs that fuckin slapped. Couldn't find any of that here unfortunately.

Lost Isles is better for sure. A couple ones on here are pretty insane though. Deadweight takes the cake

This is still fun, if not horribly flawed in many respects.

honestly the only thing holding me back from 5'ing this is the clean vocals

They should just get James back and get a new clean vocalist that actually sounds good

Lost Isles destroys this, and alot of other metalcore imo. But it has the worst closer ever

I understand and agree that this has some pretty interesting moments but how does the fact that they don't really write music well get lost in all the intricacy and odd time signatures? I mean, if you separate every segment of a song, shuffle them and paste them together again (now in a completely random sequence), does it make that big of a difference? This isn't the case with ALL the songs but c'mon, really? Little to no proper transitions, not just frantic and technical, no, no proper transitions. Poorly written transitions, music in general. They do some wicked stuff and boom, nastiest breakdown you can come up with, only rarely does a riff get a breather. Don't get it wrong, I like some of it, but that's mostly because I like edgy metalcore music.

Yeah they're nothing much. It's mostly about texture and contrast. Some of them scratch the itch due to how crazy they get.

Breakdowns nowadays are usually trash just thrown into a song when they don't know where to go with a song. There are some gems tho, and when those pop up they get me pumped

I've been giving this another chance, and it's better than I gave it credit for, still not as good as Lost Isles tho. Hansha would be so good if the vocalist didn't open his mouth lmao

If James was the vocalist on this it'd be like a 3.5
