Album Rating: 3.5
"I hardly think anything you give a 3.5 warrants "prepare for disappointment" as the summary."
a drop off from 5 to 3.5 is quite disappointing. Very often the most disappointing albums are still good

They were never going to be able to live up to the standard they've set for themselves but for what it is, it's a solid album

Agreed, it's fine, solid album, but it's not the future is cancelled by any means

treb u rlyrly need to stop reviewing anything related to punk music because you just aren't good at it, dude. reason why can be summed quite handily when you make declarations such as:
"The previously unknown four-piece from Scranton, PA shocked the punk world in 2013 when they dropped The Future is Cancelled, with its technically impressive but never wanky guitar work, and hauntingly heavy lyrics dealing with alcoholism, Catholic guilt, death, and depression being quickly declared as a modern punk masterpiece because of its ability to somehow be equal parts fun and depressing"
Malarkey tumblrcore opinions held by no one I know with bars inked on their person, so to speak

just change "punk" to "pop punk" and it's not really wrong
but that's a whole other can of worms

Chillll Hep. Great review. Rating is fairly accurate, but I never thought their first album was 5 worthy at all so I can't say I'm nearly as disappointed as everyone else seems to be.

pretty sure that's the only criteria, or at least something similar

Album Rating: 3.0
surely its more complex? otherwise everything sowing reviews would get best new music, and I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen
