That album is barely 30 minutes long, back when the band was still at the top of their game... not a second is wasted.

33 minutes of quality my boi, I love almost every minute of that album
|
| |
Umm yeah so this is actually pretty enjoyable?
The most fucked up thing is that I think most of the clean vocal hooks are pretty bland, but the harsh vocals are on point damn. They sound great.

I told you it was pretty fun man

I mean, if you were fully expecting to get raped with an abnormally large dildo and you got away with just having your junk clumsily fondled and peanut butter smeared into your hair, then yeah, I guess you could categorize this as pretty fun man

Nah, genuinely pretty enjoyable to me. The middle gets pretty bad tho, and it ends pretty poorly
|
| |
Yeah the first half is pretty strong. The last half is clearly weaker. Production sounds good too.
Also not understanding the point of having Interlude, then an actual song, and then Tide's Change which is another fuckin interlude lol

You know what, I was certain this was going to be garbage and it isn't.
Pullin' Shades chorus is the most infectious thing I have heard in ages.
|
| |
Agreed with all of the above. Top choruses are Pullin Shade, Finite, and Overdrive. All catchy as shit.

I may not like Gus too much, but his hair is quite majestic
|
| |
I think he is one of the strongest elements on this surprisingly. In terms of vocals at least. Lyrics are another story lol

I wanted to give this album a three because its essentially the same as every other Volumes album, even so it also happens to be the catchiest album they've ever released and I can't stop listening to it.

Good review. I'm really digging the album. I thought daring to experiment could've been catastrophic, but I really like what they tried, even if there is immense room for improvement. And I disagree about Hope -- I think it's the best song on the album and a path they really are capable of exploring further. That's just me.

Can someone explain to me post-hardcore and it’s obsession with foxes? I also can’t tell if post-hardcore is losing quality or if I’ve just grown out of it.
