National, Ulver, and Slowdive as well. 2017 and 2016 were equally amazing imo, best years of the decade since 2010. 2013 was really excellent as well. 2018 probably the weakest year of the decade but 2019 is shaping up nice.

Reviewed the charts just now and I think 2016 was the best year of the decade since 2010. A Moon Shaped Pool, Blackstar, Synthia, Skeleton Tree, PHOBOS by Kayo Dot, 22, A Million, Terminal Redux by Vektor, Ursa by Novembre, like endless amazing releases. Lot more really solid ones too by Swans, Katatonia, Run the Jewels, etc.
2017 and 2015 are close tho. Carrie & Lowell, original and live, were released each year too.

Wow yeah 2016 was insane too, especially when I (and possibly I alone) count Yellowcard's swan song among that bunch
The staff decade list is gonna be off the hook

If you're torn err on the side of caution and give it a 5.

I made the mistake of listening to this as I got ready for work today! I had Naiads play in my head pretty much the whole day! This has grown an insane amount since it came out. Might even turn out to be as great as HB which is probably my favourite album of the decade.

When it came out I thought it was too disjointed. Right now that is probably it's best quality

This is def my pick for best Fleet Foxes, dunno if that's sacrilege but I was never the biggest fan during their peak years

It's their best for sure. No problem in thinking self-titled or HB was the best upon their release but they just keep growing with every album. This one has such an insane amount of depth to it. I'm still listening to it and discovering new things.

That first track still kind of overshadows the rest in my eyes though.

Go through their stuff chronologically, their artistic evolution is honestly pretty incredible and I think it gets underappreciated by a lot of people.

gorgeous album. one of those albums that makes me think of traveling on unfamiliar roads and goodbyes and hellos and coffee cups and bonfires and family get-togethers as a kid at camp grounds and ex girlfriends and future girlfriends and the excitement of moving somewhere new and going places youve never been.

I delved back into this and i like it more. definitely different and quite the statement for the band and especially pecknold. Interested to hear what their next one sounds like, if there is one.
