Yeah it's growing on me as well, might eventually earn a 3 or low 3.something. I still wish this had more jams and less attempts at branching out.

I think it has a nice mix. Each song is really unique

agreed that this is a letdown, but seems like it could be a grower.

Last track is god-fucking-awful. Can't believe he put this on an album.

A small step back, but still a lot of fun songs. I'm enjoying it.

Definitely a fun summer record.

the chorus of don't take the money sounds like a carly rae jepson chorus. Makes sense cause he writes for her.

two or three decent songs here, most of these songs are super messy and almost too personal - which sucks cause his first album was amazing

"money" is enjoyable but the rest is underwhelming

Goodmorning is one of the best songs out this year

"A grower but not as good as that Andrew McMahon record"

Good review as always. I'm really sad now though I've been meaning to look into Bleachers, and I still might. This record has a cool cover, so I'm sad to see that the music doesn't deliver.

Listen to Strange Desire instead. That's a personal favorite. Though this isn't that bad in comparison, just weaker.

This grew on me a decent amount so I awarded it an extra half star. Still no Strange Desire, but this has a handful of really fun songs.

Good Morning through I Miss Those Days is straight fire for me. Don't Take the Money and Let's Get Married are jams and Everybody's Lost Somebody hits the nerves. I might review this soon myself, I adore the record and I think after watching some of Jack's interviews and thoughts behind the record it's added even more depth to me.
