That bit towards the end of 3ww is so, so good - you know the one, where the female singer comes in. It's such a fleeting moment but God damn is it ever sublime. Would have liked an entire song like that

Great review Sowing...Probably my favorite release of the band so far...all of the songs are characteristically unique. Totally dig the atmosphere in 3WW

I guess I can hear that too but to me it just feels ethereal, beautiful, and even slightly progressive. If it sounds like church music I don't think that was their aim.

Disagree, it goes nowhere, it drones on for the sake of droning on, mumbling words with barely a melody, it felt amateurish as hell to me, like a a student director making an artsy film in film school, all fluff and edgy with very little substance or enjoy-ability.

It's probably one of the best covers of it I've heard. Yeah it's artsy and kind of mumbly/abstract, but that's a good thing. Different enough from the original. I agree it would have worked better as a b-side, but only if the song going in its place were to match that gorgeous, mysterious tone.
