I think you gave this album far too much credit for being HH's first effort and for having hidden talent. I really do like your review though.
Personally, I couldn't hate this album more. The guitar tone and drawling whine of a vocalist kill my soul.

I dislike 90% of music with screaming in it but when you combine it with whining, that's worse. I'm not going to vote because i've only heard one song from this album.

I know some people (some of my friends even) love this album to death... and I respect all their opinions, but I really dislike this band. The lyrics (this is all in my opinion of course) are not very well-written. The music is bland, corny and not even catchy. The band itself makes me feel awful. Just not a quality band in my opinion.
I did like this review a lot however. This Message Edited On 06.05.06

This album is a tragedy of image over substance, with the tragedy being that they totally fucked up both the image and the substance.

I think you all may well be on crack. This album is much better than their newest release. Every song on this album provides enjoyment and is in no way bad. I know they are not as good as Silverstein, but they are still a good band and this is a good album.

IMO they make some of the safest, most unoriginal and plastic music I've ever heard, on top of which they write atrocious lyrics and fail to do anything vocally or instrumentally that has kept my attention for more than a picosecond.
I don't hate them or anything, but to me they're a band that just totally lacks any kind of talent, integrity, vision, or ambition beyond marketing themselves squarely at the depressed teen market and churning out carbon-copies of the same old material. Maybe that's not their fault as much as it Victory's, but hell, there are bands that do this stuff so much better.
I'm not slamming any HH fans either, you're all entitled to like them if you want. I just can't for the life of me understand what you see in them.

None for you!

I thought crack was needed to believe that.

Jesus. That's not that great a comparison. NOOOO bashing Silverstein here. Just kidding do as you like; your comment was pretty funny as well. I like Silverstein a great deal and am seeing them this Thursday (opening day of Warped Tour w00t) for a 3rd time.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! This Message Edited On 06.11.06

Boo, I never saw Silverstein for a 3rd time that day. I had to wait until a few days ago. I actually like this review for some odd reason, maybe its because I gave this album an above average score and there aren't any negs.
