You know, this album isn't THAT terrible.

That being said, I listen to a lot of nu metal, and revisiting HT recently has reminded how much that album and Meteora really stuck out from the rest. They were so creative and ambitious with those albums.

But this? I'm sorry but its so hard to call this anything but a cash grab. It sounds so painfully middling and generic. Its like a knock off of a knock off, and done poorly at that. Revisiting this just leaves such a poor taste in the mouth, unlike their early work which seems to get better on every listen. Blah. I know, real creative opinion, but its true nonetheless.

sad thing is, you could replace every band member but Chester and you couldn't even tell this was any different. So soulless, so produced. When "I guess this is okay?" is the best compliment to your album, that's not a good thing.
