"I keep debating rewriting my review for it."

It's one of the few albums that has the "dead factor" applied to it. Generally I can switch it off for almost every similar situated album. Bit for whatever reason my mentality shifted when I heard about Chester's death.
Funnily enough, the rest of their albums haven't suffered from the same thought processes. I don't know, this is legitimately the only record that does this to me.

I think Brad just got bored of his instrument.
He’s very capable it comes to production, but once ATS hit it became very clear Mike was writing most of the guitar part.

I did an anniversary review on a different site when I was freelance, a third version of it might be overkill haha

nah m8. do it.
and out of all the members of LP brad always annoyed me. dude was in one of the biggest rock bands of our time and he literally did the bare minimum of effort it seemed.

“he literally did the bare minimum of effort it seemed.”
MTM was the last “Brad album”, which is a shame because he’s stupidly intelligent when you look at his production and education history. Considering he grew up learning Metallica riffs I always wanted THP to have more bite to the riffs.

I think there are clues about Epstein on this album.

Feel the same way about Phoenix tbh. Was always about Chester, Mike and Rob (dude fucking banged 100% live).

Was gonna say, the one LP member who never really did anything to me was Phoenix. Since Meteora he never once did anything interesting with his bass (ironically I can recall more somewhat interesting bass playing from Brad on Hybrid Theory)

I have the title track as a single and pretend the rest doesn't exist. So awful.
I'm pretty sure Brad co-wrote a lot of the songs with Mike. The 4 songs he wrote with Mike for the Mall soundtrack were pretty nice. Much better than anything from this.

All three are credited in those songs, actually.

My bad, it's Mike, Chester, Joe and Phoenix (surprisingly) who are credited for the Mall songs.
Damn page break.

So many hidden messages in this album.

Really? Does this have a Tool-like depth to it?

Had an idea to write a review but your review literally has the same perspective I do.
A mindless, easy slate of pop music which Chester clearly had the vocal chops for. Heavy, one more light, sharp edges, and halfway right have definitely aged well.
