I respect that you're entitled to your opinion Sowing, and that its genuine, but I really really struggle to see how you can justify 3.7 on something as vapid, dull and uninspired as this and 2 Mount Eerie's latest for (roughly speaking in your words) having a lack of musical depth or engaging meaning. I know musical subjectivity and all, but its a head scratcher for me

I haven't listened through it all, but I feel like if people are looking at music on a whole objectively, there are far worse things than what I've heard from this so far (the singles). Brokencyde's stuff is pretty horrible and if a "1.0" is the lowest score you can give, this is def a 2.5 in comparison to that at the very least. But I feel like since the numbers are so arbitrary (because a lot of times we're comparing these albums to a band's (or their peers) previous bodies of work) it all gets lost in translation. Definitely passing on this album though because it sounds so uninspired. Even Mike Shinoda has hopped on the triplet/Migos flow.

Oh I definitely never said that Mount Eerie's latest had lack of depth or meaning; it has all that and then some - I said it wasn't really musically interesting and thus made better spoken poetry than actual music.
I'm not surprised at all that people hate this album, but to me it just sounds like an album full of "Leave Out All The Rest"'s which honestly is pretty good.
