"@Calc Yeah, and it took 13 years to make a truly great album in this style. Like I said, I'm just glad they finally nailed it."

"Honestly, I think this is the best thing they've done since I Am Hollywood."

Strong words here. Not only was I Am Hollywood a fantastic album, it also now retains nostalgic value... makes it hard to beat, or meet for that matter.

Beaufort is basically the perfect HIL song. Took two or three spins for me and I'm still not fully sold on the last three songs, but other than that it's plain awesomeness

"Now the last time He Is Legend made a record they thought the fans wanted they grew to hate that record but with few it’s different."

Had to read this three times to get it :P I'd suggest punctiation or rephrasing. Other than that, good review

crazy good album to blast in the car at night with the windows down. the vampyre kills me. I think the songs feel a little too safe and unadventurous, while heavy fruit and it hates you got WEIRD, so that's a little offputting, but at the same time it's pretty accessible and will be sweet live.

I think y'all too easily dismiss 'It Hates You' and 'Heavy Fruit'. Those are incredible records. It took me until just now to really understand what was going on with

'Heavy Fruit', but it's inescapable now. And then 'It Hates You' is really some of the absolute best work they've ever done--"Stranger Danger," "Everybody I Know Has Fangs," and them low-ass junz in "That's Nasty" stick with you whether you want them to or not.

'I Am Hollywood' is certainly the album that got them that attention, and I'll never ever blame you if it remains your favorite, but to dismiss everything else they've done since is doing yourself a great disservice, I think.

Suck Out the Poison is not a particularly good album.

Why the hate on the drums?!?! Their new drummer on Heavy Fruit and this album totally blows IHY out of the water. And its really only been 8 years since their stylistic change from the more hardcore aspect of their music and I couldn't be happier with the direction. Album rules

I do wish they stretched the songs out more on this album like Heavy Fruit, The Vampyre is awesome but could be so much awesomer.

Meh, gonna have to give this a few more spins. So far the middle of the album sounds very repetitive
