I like LC more as a whole but the final two minutes of this album are arguably the hardest they’ve ever gone.
|
| |
the writing on LC is occasionally more interesting but most of the fundamentals are improved here so I have to give it the nod overall

Agreed hard with brainmelter. LC is better than this, sorry guys.
|
| |
I find LC a lot more varied and it leans heavier on brutal dm tropes whereas this is much more streamlined with a stronger black metal bent. Feel like two quite separate experiences afaic, and I appreciate them both for very different things. At the end of the day, Dan G is a more interesting writer than Dave Davidson! This has been a PSA.

I like the recognizable AB twist Dan G brings to his Revocation tracks yeah. Agreed with Ramon on LC and IH differences, I personally prefer LC.

I find the image of a grieving AI way more fascinating than the warhammer-ass first album cover

Dan wrote my favourite revo track (blackest reaches) and I didn’t even know he was in revo at the time.
