This may be one of the best contemporary bass albums I've heard in ages. I think most bands similar in style would kill to have any 2-3 of the bass lines on this record. Catchy AF.

They've always hit it out the park with the bass but this is where everything comes together

Haven't cared about these guys since In Evening Air. Have a feeling this is a retread of their last album for the most part.

this is more cohesive than 'singles', though i suppose it is more akin to it than it is to 'in evening air'. i'd say it shares the memorability.

i kind of doubt In Evening Air will ever be topped. i mean, every song on that album rules so it's a tall order. this is very solid.

Love this, just wish there was a tad bit more diversity, there's a 4-5 song stretch where each song seems like almost just a subtly different take on the song before it

"where each song seems like almost just a subtly different take on the song before it"
that's why i'm not enthused about checking this out

Each song is really good, it's just each track begins with the same mid tempo bass line, vocals start, song slowly picks up into a chorus, repeat.

I tried "Ran" and didn't think too much of it, wasn't terribly keen on the vocals... Probably going to pass on this unless people think that's one of the weaker ones/if the vocals are somehow different on the other songs.

I guess I just don't like male-fronted synthpop that much.

Boney, try 'shadows' which has Debbie Harry featuring, 'north star', and 'aladdin' which has a great flow and climax

only listened to this once but the vocals kinda irritate me, and the beat is almost exactly the same for the whole album

I love the vocals, they're different and unique and he does a great job making is voice a musical instrument.

Waaaah sowing you continue to baffle me.

Easily the best singer/frontman in the indie scene right now.
