I've been watching a lot of live videos from these dudes. Fantastic stuff, I'm wondering where the disconnect I have from this album is coming from. I'll give their back catalogue a better listen.

I'm so confused as to why I didn't love this earlier. Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention to the lyrics - I think the instrumentals' effectiveness run very much in tandem with the album's themes.
