Really good album. I’m still pitched between thinking he’s waging a war against songhood in a manner that successfully bolsters his expression of the artlessness, anythinglessness, of death—and thinking that these are just good, beautiful, lightly stunted choons. “Swims”!

gah - cannot get into this even a little. Vocals are (I think) supposed to be vulnerable and genuine though I think they are just monotonous, lame, and not particularly well performed. Any of the good heavily emotional bits are shrouded by mountains of cringe.
