These sound too big to be B-Sides but granted so do most AFI B-Sides. It definitely seems like not only a logical development from Blood but it recaptures a lot of the magic that I personally felt was absent on the last 2 LPs for the most part, especially on the 3 tracks that haven't been released.

Is anyone else distracted by the production? It's not nearly as bad as Burials but it's really jarring after how crisp and modern Blood sounded. This almost has a demo quality to it that works at times, but at others it just doesn't punch hard enough. I have pretty mixed feelings on Break Angels, I like the song but man Davey is leaving me wanting here... The vocals in the verses sound like a first take, I can't believe that's what he went with. I know Davey doesn't scream anymore but man I wish he'd put a LITTLE grit into that chorus. Back Into The Sun is growing on, but the T/T is just FIRE. Omg. More of that on the next album please!

couldn't listen to this again until now and I really can't get over how much I love Break Angels and Back Into The Sun. these songs sound so much bigger than anything they've done since Crash Love.

Get Dark is my least favorite and despite it's simple chorus it still bangs. very very happy with this.
Also the sample in the title track is so freaking cool.

Honestly if Davey did something different in the chorus of Missing Man this would be an easy 4.5 EP. that's my only huge problem. everything else about it is so good.
I need to see all of these live.

the best songs are not even the singles or most talked about tracks. I'm obsessed with "She Speaks the Language", "The Wind That Carries Me", "Feed From The Floor", "Pink Eyes", "So Beneath You", and "Above The Bridge"...oh my God they are amazing...
